Terms

We wrote these so an actual person can read them.

Last updated September 28, 2026.

What we offer

Shiba Support provides free technology help from volunteers, remotely, across the United States. There is never a charge. Anyone who asks you for money in our name is not us.

What we can’t promise

Our volunteers do their best, but they’re people, not a repair shop. We can’t guarantee every problem gets fixed, and we’re not responsible for data loss or damage that happens while you follow our advice. We’ll always tell you before a step that could delete anything, and we’ll suggest a backup first.

What we ask of you

  • Be honest about your situation so we can help.
  • Never share passwords, PINs, or account numbers with us, even if asked. (We won’t ask.)
  • Treat volunteers with the same kindness they show you.
  • Don’t use our forms to send spam, threats, or anything illegal.

Your control

You can stop a session at any time. You can ask us to delete your information at any time. See our privacy page.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we’ll update the date at the top and say what changed.
